Post-Construction Cleaning Checklist

(For Residential, Commercial, and Office Spaces)

1. General Cleaning Tasks After Construction

1. ◻ Remove dust and construction debris from ceilings, walls, vents, and light fixtures
   
2. ◻ Wipe down and disinfect walls, baseboards, doors, and door frames
3. ◻ Clean and disinfect light switches, door handles, and built-in cabinet handles
4. ◻ Remove construction dust from windowsills, frames, and tracks
5. ◻ Clean windows, frames, and tracks (inside where reachable using a two-step ladder, outside only for ground-floor windows). Remove stickers.
6. ◻ Collect and place construction debris (up to 10 lbs) in the designated area
7. ◻ Vacuum and mop floors, including corners
8. ◻ Remove glue residue, paint splatters, excess caulking, and other construction materials
9. ◻ Wipe down mirrors and glass surfaces
10. ◻ Empty and disinfect trash bins
    

2. Kitchen Areas (if installed)

1. ◻ Clean and disinfect countertops, sink, and faucets
   
2. ◻ Wipe down built-in cabinets inside and out to remove construction dust
3. ◻ Clean the stovetop, oven, burners, and range hood (if installed)
4. ◻ Sanitize the dishwasher (if installed) and check the filter
5. ◻ Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors
6. ◻ Remove protective films from built-in appliances and surfaces
   

3. Bathrooms (if installed)

1. ◻ Scrub and disinfect sinks, faucets, and countertops
   
2. ◻ Clean and sanitize the toilet (inside, outside, and base)
3. ◻ Scrub and disinfect shower walls, tiles, bathtub, and glass doors
4. ◻ Remove construction dust, cement residue, and grout haze from tiles
5. ◻ Clean grout lines from dust, excess caulking, and construction residue
6. ◻ Wipe down mirrors and glass surfaces
7. ◻ Clean and disinfect built-in cabinets (if any)
8. ◻ Polish faucets and towel racks
9. ◻ Remove stickers and protective covers from newly installed fixtures
10. ◻ Empty and disinfect trash bins
    

4. Utility Rooms (if built-in elements are present)

1. ◻ Wipe down dust from windowsills and built-in structures
   
2. ◻ Vacuum and mop floors
3. ◻ Wipe down walls and baseboards to remove construction dust
4. ◻ Clean built-in cabinets, shelves, and tracks
5. ◻ Remove protective films and remaining construction materials
   

5. Hallways and Common Areas

1. ◻ Wipe down dust and remove construction debris from windowsills
   
2. ◻ Clean built-in shelves and cabinets (if any)
3. ◻ Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
4. ◻ Remove protective covers and stickers from newly installed surfaces
   

6. Final Inspection & Quality Control

1. ◻ Ensure all construction dust and debris are removed
   
2. ◻ Double-check high-traffic areas for dust and dirt accumulation
3. ◻ Remove all cleaning supplies and trash.
   
4. ◻ Conduct a final walkthrough with the client (if applicable)
